When the work needs more depth

Scoped advisory

For a decision that needs more evidence, more perspectives or a closer look at a workflow and its architecture. We agree on the question, the work and the output before we start.

Typical work:

Leadership alignment: work through AI priorities, ownership and decision criteria, then document areas of agreement, unresolved questions and next steps. Scope and attendance are agreed in advance.
From pilot to daily work: design one or two workflows around a pilot that works, with constraints, owners, measures and rollout steps.
Initiative review: examine an initiative, its dependencies and its evidence before the next budget decision.

Ongoing advisory

An external advisor while your decisions evolve. Over an agreed period I review proposals, join working discussions, challenge assumptions and help you interpret what the team is learning.

If we sign an agreement for ongoing advisory or interim work within 14 calendar days after the Decision Session, the full $750 session fee counts toward the first month.

Selected interim and fractional roles

For a defined period of deeper strategic, architectural or leadership involvement, including temporary leadership of a function or team.

We agree on the mandate, decision authority, time commitment and handover up front. Depending on the agreed mandate, outputs can include:

a clarified mandate for the function;
a plan for the first 90 days;
named owners for the key initiatives;
the requirements for the permanent role, and help selecting the person;
a handover with the context your team needs to continue.

How I approach the work

Understand the situation. The goal, constraints, decision deadline and what your team already knows. Your team's knowledge counts as evidence.

Examine the connections. How the technology fits the workflow, the data, the existing systems and the people expected to use it. I separate what the evidence supports from what is assumed.

Make the next step usable. Options, reasoning, open questions and the people who need to be involved. The recommendation may be to proceed, change direction, collect specific evidence or stop.

My role

I advise on strategy, architecture and leadership. I work alongside your internal team or delivery partners, who build, deploy and run the production systems.

I am independent and have no vendor relationships. My recommendations follow the evidence, including when it contradicts the original plan.
