Decision Session
AI Value Decision Session
One AI decision, examined in depth, with a written summary and recommendations.
Bring a purchase, renewal, pilot or initiative you need to decide on. Together, we examine the evidence and identify a supported next step.
$750 USD · Questionnaire and preparation · 90 minutes online · Up to 3 client participants · Written summary and recommendations within two business days
Questions you can bring
- Before buying: What should we try to achieve with AI, and what should guide the purchase?
- After adoption: We have the tools. What needs to change in the workflow for them to be useful?
- Before renewal: What should we keep, expand or reconsider?
- After a pilot: Should we scale, redesign or stop, and what evidence supports that?
- When priorities compete: Which opportunity deserves attention first?
- When expectations differ: What result are we aiming for, who owns it and how will we recognize progress?
You don't need to know the root cause. We agree on one decision or situation and examine it in depth.
Is this the right format?
A good fit if you:
- have one AI decision or situation you need to move on;
- want an outside view that covers the technology and the business together;
- need a written position you can take into an internal discussion;
- can bring the decision to a group of up to three people.
Not the right format if you need:
- a full technical audit or an organization-wide AI strategy;
- a detailed vendor comparison or a procurement process;
- someone to build or deploy the system;
- a session for a larger leadership group.
Broader strategic questions and larger leadership groups can be addressed through a separately scoped advisory engagement or workshop. Development, deployment and operation remain with your internal team or delivery partners. Any specialist audit or procurement work would need its own agreed scope and appropriate expertise.
What you leave with
The session gives us a working assessment. Within two business days you receive a written summary based on the information you provide and our discussion, covering:
- The decision and context: the question we examined, your goal and the relevant constraints.
- Findings and assumptions: what the discussion and material support, and what still needs checking.
- Recommendations and reasoning: the actions or options I recommend, and why.
- Next steps: who to involve, what evidence to gather and what to change before the next commitment.
Where evidence is incomplete, the summary says what is missing and how that affects the recommendation.
How it works
1. Book your session
Review the session scope and Session Terms, then pay $750 through Stripe. You can book without an introductory call.
2. Focused preparation
After payment, you’ll receive a preparation questionnaire and a link to schedule your 90-minute session. Return it and any agreed supporting material at least three business days before the session so I can prepare. Share what you know and mark what you don't; we will work out what is worth clarifying. We also agree on who should join, up to three people from your organization.
3. A 90-minute working session
We examine the goal, the current situation and the technical and organizational dependencies. We test assumptions, compare next steps and find where more evidence is needed.
4. Written summary
I review our discussion and the material, then send the written summary within two business days. It includes my assessment and anything further that came up during the review.
The experience behind the session
As a Data and AI Architect at IBM, I worked with clients after technology purchases, working out how tools fit their existing systems and business goals. That included architecture, the path from MVP to production and reviews of changing needs before contract renewals.
I bring that technical and client-facing experience to the decision you need to work through.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an introductory call before booking?
No. You can book and pay directly. If you would like to discuss whether the session fits your question, book the optional free 20-minute call.
How much preparation is required?
Complete the preparation questionnaire at least three business days before we meet. You don't need to audit the organization or calculate every metric. We focus on the information that matters for the agreed question and work openly with the gaps.
Will we have a final answer after 90 minutes?
That depends on the question and the evidence. Some decisions become clear in the session; others need a fact checked or another person involved. I will separate what we can conclude from what remains uncertain, and the written summary names the next step. The session does not promise to resolve every issue in an AI initiative.
Do we have to continue working together?
No. The session stands alone, and your team or delivery partners can use the recommendations without me. If we sign a separate agreement for ongoing advisory or an interim engagement within 14 calendar days after the session, the full $750 is deducted from the first month's fee under that agreement.
What could continued work look like?
A defined advisory engagement, continued support as decisions evolve, or selected interim or fractional involvement. If several leaders need to work through priorities together, we can scope that too. We agree on purpose, output and terms before starting.
Will you implement the recommendations?
My role is advisory, strategic and architectural. I can help your team examine proposals and decisions during delivery. I don't build, deploy or operate production systems for clients.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel?
You may request one client reschedule. Cancellation at least 48 hours before the appointment receives a full refund; later cancellation receives 50%. After a late reschedule, a subsequent cancellation remains eligible for no more than 50%. No-shows are non-refundable. If I cancel, you choose a full refund or a new date. The full Session Terms apply.
What if essential preparation is missing?
If essential information is missing three business days before the session, I will identify it and offer one postponement of up to 14 calendar days. If it is still missing three business days before the new date, the booking closes with a 50% refund; the Session Terms explain the full process.
Can we work under an NDA?
Yes. Tell me before you share confidential material, so we can put an NDA in place and agree on what information to provide.
Session terms
The full terms explain cancellation, the one-time reschedule, missing preparation and the 14-day window for credit toward a separately agreed advisory or interim engagement.
